Much of the fitted cabinet market has moved towards deskilling the craftsmen, using CNC routers, MDF doors, edge-banding machines and quick fit adjustable hinges. The team at Churnet Valley Joinery are not constrained by the design limitations of mass production and take pride in using skilled techniques that ensure the finished product is authentic, beautiful and will last for many years.

We have made over a dozen kitchens since 2013. These have been at the request of our clients, impressed with our other work. We have gained considerable experience, particularly in the Georgian-era shaker style and use traditional cabinetry, partnered with modern ironmongery, for example smooth running, undermount, soft close drawer runners. We use Birch ply, Tulipwood and Maple to bring authentic design and beautiful craftsmanship together. Everything is designed and built as a one-off to specific sizes, enabling us to make the most of your space and enhance the heart of your home.
